GEOFF
EVANS, CAPTAIN OF THE SY SHADOW
The
Shadow is an impressive sailing vessel: a Comet 100 RS built by Comar
Yachts in Fiumicino, Italy, in 2011. Designed by Andrea Vallicelli,
the Shadow boasts 273.4 square metres of sails, which feature a
beautiful giant octopus. Geoff Evans, the captain of this floating
jewel, is proud of his boat:
"sailing
on a boat of these characteristics is a true privilege"
and he adds "this
is why we give great importance even to the smallest details when we
are out sailing as well as when we are at shore carrying out
maintenance works".
Evans
has been working in the boating sector for more than forty years –the
last three of which as captain of the Shadow–
and is well aware that choosing the best repair & refit base port
